The idea behind this blog post is to start a series of the various features within AppSense Application Manager. Most customers know Application Manager as a Security tool which features Trusted Ownership, Whitelists and Blacklists but very few know anything about the other functionality the product provides. The series will include the aforementioned features but will also include: User Rights on applications, Web Installations, Application Network Access Control, Rights Discovery Mode and some of the tools available for building configurations. As always this information is provided by myself and is not reviewed or approved by anyone within AppSense before publication so is subject to change. Enjoy.

Some time back I was on a customer site and I ran into issues with a specific ADMX action within Environment Manager Policy.. some searching the web and I stumbled across the Group Policy Search web application.
Its a really neat application which tells you the registry key and value that would set a specific policy. Obviously you could get this from the ADMX itself but its so much simpler to get it from this web application.
Anyway, enough said… the link is http://gps.cloudapp.net
Enjoy
